Thousands and millions separator, gradual selection
« on: February 04, 2013, 05:42:54 PM »
Three minor requests:

For the numbers of points and faces in general and for the numbers of points and selected points displayed when working with gradual selection in particular, it would be great to have a thousands and millions separator (,) to make reading of long numbers easier.

For the gradual selection it would be great if the percentage of selected points could be displayed (e.g. "points: 4,234,123 selection: 211,623 (5 %)") to make it easier to judge how strongly the point cloud is affected.

Also, in the gradual selection dialogue it would be great if I could specify something like: "select the 20% of points with the highest reprojection error" or "select the 5 % of points with the highest reconstruction uncertainty".

sometimes i use my TV as a monitor, the font is too small to see the numbers clearly at a distance, commas would help a lot

delimiter sign for numbers (faces count)

It would be great if the numbers of faces and vertices was not given like this:

45907651

but like this

45.907.651 or 45,907,651

It makes it so much more easy to see if you are dealing with 4.6 million polygons, which other programs handle well, or 46 million, which must be decimated for many other programs.

Hello Heinrich,

In the version 1.0.0 there are "space" symbol delimiters for the number of faces and points in the model view.

Hi,

In the version 1.2.5 the delimiters were also included for the user-input fields in dialogs that require high value parameters (like Align Photos, Build Mesh, Decimate Mesh).

Hi,

Awesome! Really makes reading and writing huge numbers a lot easier...
