to save orthophoto
« on: May 20, 2016, 03:48:48 AM »
Hi,
I complete my accumulation images taken by UAVs. the accumulation was successful and no problem. But when I want to save it as a n orthophoto, after some processing it shows a message like: Not enough memory (attached pic). this happened some of my agisoft projects. Some works fine.

My photoscan installed version is 1.1.0.2004

My desktop has a good configuration
Window 7 enterprise k, 64 bit,
intel core i7-6700cpu, 3.40GHz,
24gb ram, 4.5TB hdd, enough space for the saving directory for photoscan files.

Then where is the problem? please suggest me what to do?

thanks

Did this happen during the exporting of the Orthmosaic or during the building of it?

If it's during the export, you should use the "split in blocks" for the ortho GeoTIFF export.
You need to do this because the maximum file size for TIFF's is around 4Gb. There are other TIFF-like files that can be much larger like BigTIFF's. But this is not supported by Photoscan.

The "split in blocks" is measured in pixels. So if the resolution of your Orthomosaic is for example 3cm. Then you'll need to split the blocks in for instance blocks of 1km. Which comes down to 100.000cm. Therefor the best option is to then split the blocks up in 33.000x33.000 pixels. That way you'll end up with ortho blocks roughly 1km by 1km in size and you won't run into the 'Not enough Memory' issue.
