Ortho Cropping and Post Agisoft?
« on: May 25, 2016, 06:45:34 AM »
 Quick questions...

I was trying to find a way to crop the orthomosaic in Photoscan. I trimmed the sparse and dense cloud but I still get the excess part of the ortho I wanted to clean up. Or do I use different software for that part?

Also, to showcase dense point clouds to be viewed by clients, what software/website is best? Some LAS files I have are about 10GB.

Thanks!

After you've build the Ortho you can double click on "Ortho mosaic" in the workspace panel.
This will open the Ortho in Photoscan. Here you can create a polygon with one of the buttons on the menu bar.
After you've created a polygon (aka project outline) you right click if and select "set as boundary"
If you then export the Ortho, it will be cropped to this polygon.

As for post processing software: Global mapper is a must have piece of software.
A good point cloud viewer that's easy to use and free for your clients is: Quick Terrain Reader.
