Freezes on photo import
« on: June 19, 2016, 01:30:01 AM »
MSI GT72 laptop, NVIDIA GTX 980 (not m model), Windows 10, i76820, 16gb ram, demo version of Photoscan.

I can't seem to load a photo.  Photoscan displays the progress bar and states processing in progress, but it never moves.  i am importing the monument photos obtained from your website.  Any ideas?

Hello pixel67,

It might be some shell extension utility or background application that causes the issue. Once we've been reported about similar issue on Windows 10, I'll try to find the solution. Meanwhile I can suggest to stop one by one run processes (that are not critical/system) and see if one of them is causing the loading photos issue.

Hello pixel67,

I have found the similar problem and it has been related to the glitch with the equalizer in the sound system controls of the laptop panel.

Thank you for the feedback!  It looks like NahimicMsiSvc64 is the culprit.  Work fine once i kill the process.
