Photoscan network node. ERROR: BAD ALLOCATION
« on: July 05, 2016, 01:12:43 PM »
Hi,
I realized a network process using:
- Server with a low hardware pc
- Node with 3 pc respectively 16, 8 and 2 GB of RAM
after setting up everything, I launched the network process.
The computers with 16 and 8 GB of RAM to work without errors, while the pc with 2 GB of RAM is not working and shows the error: BAD ALLOCATION (as shown in the attach)

please help me.
Thanks

Hello madman,

If you are using Windows version of PhotoScan, please check that you have 64-bit edition installed and not 32-bit one.

Also I can suggest to update PhotoScan on all your computers to the version 1.2.5, since the critical bug for Match Photos network task has been fixed there.

In case the issue is related to the node with 2 GB RAM only, you may just pause it, as the tasks distributed among the nodes  do not take into account hardware specifications of the available nodes.

the server and the PC with 2GB of RAM have installed a 32-bit version of Windows, so I had to install a 32-bit version of PhotoScan, while on the other nodes have PhotoScan 64bit.
the 32bit servers and nodes 64bit work well ... so do not think it's an issue of 32 / 64bit version ...
you have other suggestions?
thank you

Hello madman,

32-bit version of PhotoScan on the processing node implies certain memory limitations due to the OS architecture, so the task sent to the node might not be completed in the given limitations.

Whereas 32-bit edtion shouldn't be an issue for PhotoScan Pro run in server mode.
