Network Processing - Help is needed
« on: July 18, 2016, 03:25:33 AM »
Hello,
I am not an Agisoft user, but I was asked to setup some PCs in order Agisoft use the power of all them.

I followed the manual's instructions (chapter 8 ), trying two scenarios; 1 server - 1 node and 1 server - 2 nodes. Everything seemed to be OK, as the project files were located into a shared folder and the nodes were visible at the Agisoft Network Monitor.

The problem is that everytime I tried to network proceed, I got the error "Can't open project: C:/Program Files/Agisoft/Photoscan Pro/ProjectX.psx" although the project's path was C:/AgisoftShared/ProjectX/ProjectX.psx

Later, I also tried with projects into the C:/Program Files/... but nothing was changed (of course I had made the file shared).

However, everytime I tried to proceed the project locally on every node, there was no problem.

Do you have any idea what should I try?

PS: Agisoft Photoscan Professional Edition, Version 1.2.5 built 2594 (64 bit)

Hello Appolo440,

You might need to use --root argument for both node and server instances of PhotoScan and use the path that is pointing to the same network location. Also the same location should be accissible by the path specified in the Root path field of the Network preferences tab from the client GUI that you are using to start the process.
Best regards,

Hello Alexey!

Thank you a lot for your very quick response! My belated reply is due to the fact that I couldn't test it earlier.
However, my problem solved, as your hint described what exactly I had to do!

Your good and fast support is highly appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Thank you!
