Coordinate System - from Grid to Ground -
« on: July 28, 2016, 11:49:54 PM »
Hi,
I wanted to ask if when using a coordinate system, PhotoScan rescale these to adapt the model to the ground or not. In other words, consider the transition from grid to ground? Then the coordinates of the point cloud are to be understood relative to the grill or on the ground?

It all depends on what coordinates you are inputting as ground control.

If you have entered grid coordinates, such as UTM or State Plane, then of course Agisoft will output GRID coordinates.

If you have scaled your coordinates to GROUND, the result will be GROUND coordinates.

Agisoft is not performing a grid-to-ground conversion for you.
When things get weird, the weird turn pro.
