Network cluster problem adding node
« on: August 05, 2016, 08:48:16 PM »
Hello

I have a problem to add a new node for processing. The settings:

server with folder shared as network storage, start server (following the manual = OK wait for connections)
client1  maps the folder to itself, connects to server = OK
client2 maps the folder to itself, connects to server = OK

client1 starts photoscan GUI following the steps from the manual, start build dense cloud, over network? yes = OK

client2 starts photoscan GUI following the steps from the manual, start build dense cloud, over network? yes .. error: Cant create batch after clicking OK button shows the same progress screen as client1

Any hints what to check/do?
Thank you

Hello drone22,

You need to start at least one instance of PhotoScan working as node (it should be done from the command-line using --node key, similar to the starting server option). The client GUI is only used to run the job, as clients are not actually utilized for the network processing.
If on both clients you open the same project that is currently sent to the network processing you'll see the network monitor window displaying the current task progress.
