GCP - No camera EXIF
« on: August 20, 2016, 11:09:38 PM »
Hello,

The mission - Orthophoto + DEM

I am doing aerial survey from an airplane using a Canon 5ds R camera, NO GPS.
My pictures aren't geo-tagged.
The problem is - Photoscan won't generate DEM unless I get EXIF or camera locations.

I do have GCPs taken from a ground surveyor, about 12 points I would like to input to Agisoft so I can get a DEM.
Is there a way to perform the mission?

Thanks,

Elia

I hope that I understood your question correctly.

Add Photos -> Align Photos -> Build Mesh (Just to make it easier to sample points, you can rebuild a better one later) -> locate GCPs in one photo -> Right click (Create Marker) -> Rename Marker as the name in the GCPs coordinates file that you will import later -> Right click (Filter Photos by Marker) -> Fix marker position in all photos -> Move to next GCP. At the end just import the GCPs coordinates file and it should match each Marker to its coordinates if they have the same name.
I would suggest making dense cloud point before continuing to make DEM or whatever else you need.

What I have stated above is mainly written in the official tutorial PDF file in this link:

I was wondering whether things worked well for you and would like to know if you discovered anything new worth noting while working on your mission as I am new to AgiSoft myself. Anything you think should be shared?
