Panorama output is completely black in pro, but not standard
« on: September 02, 2016, 12:49:04 AM »
I downloaded the demo of Photoscan Standard version first, and was able to stitch a spherical panorama, and the output preview looks pretty good, but of course, I can save from a demo.  I then got the trial version of Pro, and the output is complete black.  I doing the same exact process in both.  Standard works, and Pro is all black.

A screenshot of the problem is attached.  Standard on left, Pro on right.

Any ideas?

Hello Jon,

I assume that PhotoScan Pro has loaded the coordinate information for the cameras from the EXIF tags and the issue might be related with the referencing based on the camera positions (that have the same coordinates). So my suggestion is to clear the coordinate information in the Reference pane prior to the processing and switch the coordinate system to Local Coordinates in the Reference pane settings. Then reprocess the data.

Jon, When you say "spherical panorama" do you mean that you shot a full 360 degree set of photos with a panoramic head (Nodal Ninja or something like that) and then fed the images into Photoscan and "stitched" them together to make a sort of 3D pano?

And it worked okay?

Just curious.  I tried it once but couldn't get it to work.
