Camera calib comparison
« on: September 15, 2016, 02:21:44 PM »
Hello Guys,
I would like to report an interesting comparison study made on 2 different tests project in photoscan.
These two basic projects are aerial crossing flighlines with accurate camera POS input and medium frame camera.
Recently in PS there is a new & interesting cam calib export feature.
One can also read that interesting study  http://www.mdpi.com/1424-8220/16/6/807
After exporting cam calib in USGS, Photomodeler & Photoscan XML format we can conclude that (see attachment):
USGS & Photomodeler use the same distortion formula
Photoscan uses another distortion formula
PS convertions are pretty reliable.
During cam calib export PS returns a mean/max error in pix.
I wonder if that pix error refer to GSD pix ? sensor size pix ?

Thanks for your comments & feedbacks,

antoine
