Software version of a specific PhotoScan model?
« on: September 27, 2016, 12:16:55 PM »
Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if there's a way of determining the original software version used to build a particular PhotoScan model?

If I open an old .psz file with the most recent version of PhotoScan and export a report of that particular model, the report will simply state the current version of PhotoScan (ie the one I used to view the old file) as the software version. Is there a way of finding out which PhotoScan version was originally used to produce the model?

Any help is much appreciated!
Cheers,

Tomm

Hello Tom,

You can try to check it in the project file. For example, if it is PSZ format, then unzip it and check doc.xml. But it will give you the information about the major release version only, like 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2.

Cheers Alexey, will give that a try. Perhaps a good "feature request" then: right click on model, "show info" - show PhotoScan version and build number (can even be broken down per processing step) :)
