Camera Calibration Adjusted Parameter Values
« on: October 10, 2016, 03:33:57 PM »
Hello,

I believe that the below is a bug and not a feature, because it is quite inconvenient.

v1.2.6.2834
New Project: NewChunk: ImportCameras: default Initial Camera Calibration f=****,  cx,cy,k1-4,p1-4,b1-2=0
AlignCameras: OptimiseCameras(select more than the necessary or even all Parameters)
Some of them are not significant so reOptimiseCameras with only a few parameters selected and the same default initial values.

At the adjusted parameters tab, the unselected parameters retain the values of the first overparameterised optimisation.
I would expect that each parameter is reset to its initial value at the beginning of the optimisation and all the adjusted values updated after the optimisation.

Could you please advise?

Thanks

So should I manually reset a parameter to zero, if previously calculated, before deselecting it for a subsequent optimisation?

Hello n@sk,

The refinement of the calibration values during the optimization procedure is applied to the Adjusted values, so if you wish to leave any parameter as it appears in the Initial values tab, you need to copy the values manually from one tab to another.
