dense cloud crashes computer
« on: October 11, 2016, 08:39:37 AM »
Hei,
when i run dense cloud, my computer crashes after about 7-9 % is done.
I have about 383 images, so is there some limitation in the image nr. or something else?

I have new computer, it should have enough processing capability.

Hello tkuef,

Have you submitted the crash reports already?

Please also specify the hardware parameters (CPU, GPU, RAM), OS used the graphic card driver version.

Hello tkuef,

In case you have hard crash (blue screen), it may be related to hardware issues, so additionally I suggest to check the RAM modules using Memtest86 utility.
Probably you need also to check the cooling system and temperature during processing. Since the depths maps generation process uses the resources intensively, both CPU and GPU may be hot.

So Alexey,

there is no limit how many images can be processed in agisoft?
Now i am porcessing 383 images, and computer crashes.

If I reduce the number to 299 (dense cloud and mesh) runs through.

Hello tkuef,

The number of images that can be processed in a single run is limited by the available RAM only (although, depending on the image number/resolution and processing settings). And, of course, it shouldn't lead to the computer or application crashes. So I still assume that the crashes are related to the memory issues.
