Results of Alignment are not equal to GPS coordinates
« on: July 27, 2012, 09:03:52 AM »
Hi,
my problem is that PS changes the position of GC bound imagery a lot. I mean in and after the Alignment process. As a result some pictures are moved forward to the places where they are not supposed to be at all.
What can I do to align my imagery as it is (lets say, kind of exactly) according to the logfile that I have?
I assume that my coordinates are quite precise.
Thank you.
George

Hello George,

During Align Photos stage camera coordinates are used only to speed up process by selecting neighboring images.
And actual camera positions are used during optimization process (regarding to the accuracy settings).

Maybe some photos are incorrectly aligned if they are somewhere they are not supposed to be?

well I have checked each image - they are at their places. Is possible to fix a picture at it coordinates?

Hello George,

No, it is not possible to fix GPS coordinates as camera positions for aligning photos.
