Volumetric error increase with increasing distance of points
« on: October 27, 2016, 11:24:39 PM »
I'm working with modeling objects with 7 meters high. My Pictures were taken with a smartphone to a horizontal distance (x, z) of the object at a single height (y). I then divide this object into 3 parts (A,B, C) and calculated the volume of these solids. The solids that are in the same photographic level (A) have good accuracy ... but accuracy drops with the increase of distance of parts. A>B>C.

O  C     -
B                 -
J   B                     -
E                                -
C   A                      -         >
T         -

Is there any way to correct this error for the 3D model?

I answer to myself and to others:

The error can not be corrected in data processing.

There should be vertical overlap of images for accuracy at different heights.
