Set resolution of DEM
« on: November 11, 2016, 08:35:25 PM »
I want to build separate DEMs of different regions of the same dense cloud, but use a resolution of 0.0002m/pixel.

In the build DEM window, there is an option for resolution (m/pix). There is a fixed value in here, and I was wondering whether it is possible to change this value to 0.0002m/pixel? The software does not let me put a new value in when I build the DEM. However, I can change the resolution when I export DEM, but the file doesn't save.

Thanks,

Marie

Hello Marie,

Currently DEM that is based on the dense cloud can be generated in the default resolution only.

As as workaround you can build DEM basing on mesh model, or import DEM that has been exported in another resolution.

The ability to set DEM resolution used to exist even with point cloud in 2022, or I could be misremembering.

I discovered that if you set it to generate from the depth maps, you can choose your resolution. And then your orthomosaic will be 2x the DEM resolution.
