DEM generation time elapsed is nonsense
« on: November 16, 2016, 10:10:32 PM »
hi,

I am generating a DEM and the standard dialog box that shows the time elapsed and the time remaining is showing a strange set of numbers for the time remaining. Additionally, after almost 24 hours the progress was still at 0%. The screen shot below shows my second attempt so the time elapsed is only a couple of hours.

Hello mguycooper,

Which version of PhotoScan you are using and what parameters are specified in the Build DEM dialog? Also I can suggest to check that georeferencing is correct.

I think the problem was that the "marker accuracy" was set to 0 in the Build DEM settings. This was suggested to me in a tutorial. I changed it to 0.001 and now the build DEM resolution is a reasonable 7 cm/pix whereas before it was 2 mm/pix. Seems to be running fine now. Thank you.
