Numbers on the Survey Data
« on: November 29, 2016, 08:03:26 AM »
Hi Everyone,

Could someone let me know the exact meaning of the numbers on the Survey Data?

According to the PhotoScan manual, it tells the data includes overlap statistics, as in below
Quote
• Survey data including coverage area, flying altitude, GSR, general camera(s) info, as well as overlap
statistics.
So I think the numbers would be the overlap statistics. However its unit?
For example, if the area is the blue ( > 9), is the area made by more than 9 pictures? or overlapped more than 90%? or something else?

I appreciate for any suggestion and confirmation.

Thank you!

Hello Toshi_OK,

It's about the number of images. Blue color means that the area is seen from more than 9 photos.

Hi,

I want to get clarification about the 'overlap' concept.
In the processing report, it can give you the image overlap estimation of your final ortho-mosaics. If the number of "overlap" image is 9, is that means all the points within the area have shown in at least 9 photos that have been originally taken?
Hope to get your idea and thank you for your time.
