CLI Launch, etc.
« on: December 07, 2016, 06:09:57 PM »
Hi,
I have the following questions:
1) Can I launch Photoscan from the Windows Terminal using a Shell command and passing various parameters (or at least a script file name)? This is a useful feature for automating certain workflows.

2) Under "Tools" menu, there is "Export Matches". What are these Matches? Where do I get information about the exact data format of the 3 file formats (ORIMA, BINGO, PATB) supported here?

3) Is it possible to export the result of "Align Photo" stage?

Regards,
Rangarajan

Hello Rangarajan,

Running scripts fro the command line would be supported in the version 1.3 of PhotoScan Professional.

Matches - are tie points (common points) that are found on the overlapping images during the Align Photos stage. The formats that you mention are quite widely used formats for such kind of data and are not our invention. For example, more information about BINGO can be found on their official web-site: http://bingo-atm.de/

What kind of results you are interested in? Align Photos stage provides the information about exterior and interior camera orientation and also the tie point cloud (as 3D point cloud and points' projections on the corresponding photos). Interior and exterior camera orientation can be saved using Tools Menu -> Export Cameras option.
