« on: December 09, 2016, 03:45:47 PM »
hello,
how can i export dense points in cartesian coordinate system (x,y,z) ???
when i export it, it is exported in geodetic coordinate ( lat, long, height) ?

thanks,

Hello ahmed KIMOO,

Which coordinate system you are selecting in the Export Points dialog?

Hello ahmed KIMOO,

What do you mean under correct coordinates?

Usually people are using projected coordinate systems, like UTM and they are related to the geographic zone or country.

Hello ahmed KIMOO,

What is the EPSG code of the zone you are interested in or it's name?

EPSG::4326 - is WGS84 geographic coordinate system.

Hello ahmed KIMOO,

There are two options, georeference the model directly in the desired coordinate system, or, if the model has been georeferenced in another coordinate system, use different system in the coordinate system selection of the Export Points dialog. The second way will only work when there's a transformation available between system the model is referenced in and the output coordinate system.

But it's quite confusing, since int eh first post you are saying that points are exported in lat, long, alt format and then say that you need WGS84 coordinate system. Don't you have the desired result already?

the first option isnot available because the camera position is in a geographic coordinate ( is it available to export the camera location and transform it in the desired system and then import it again ??????????)
thanks,

Hello ahmed KIMOO,

Yes, you can convert the values externally and import to PhotoScan. Or you can use Convert button on the Reference pane, once the coordinates of the camera positions are loaded.
