RTK Integration with DJI Phantom Camera - Necessary?

Interested to hear about others' experience pertaining to integration between camera and RTK capability...specifically between DJI Phantom (4 Pro) stock camera and either Reach RTK or SwiftNav RTK units.

Has someone done this integration? Success? Problems? If yes, assuming it requires a hot shoe adapter to link the camera trigger with the RTK unit...what components have you used?

Is the integration necessary? Or is it possible to instead coordinate the timestamp between the photolog and the RTK unit in the post-processing phase?

I think it is possible. DJI Phantom 4 PRO with GNSS RTK PPK receiver allows to record photos locations with centimeter level accuracy. It is possible to process data in Photoscan without ground control points.

Just FYI, Septentrio does not make cheap GPS. The board in that demonstration is likely a $5k+. I own one and it is NOT user friendly at all and their support SUCKS.

Do you have some more info (i.e., white paper, case study) for this system? It looks like a very neat/integrated package. Are you using your own custom parts or is it based on Emlid's hardware?
