64 bit Agisoft for Windows won't install.
« on: January 21, 2017, 10:10:30 PM »
I'm having some trouble getting any quality at all out of my scans and while troubleshooting that I remembered that I'd been forced to install the standard 32bit version after being unable to launch the 64bit version.

This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package.

Currently, I'm unable to get greater than medium settings (if that) on the dense cloud and mesh even with as low as 20 photos. I've already reduced my photos to a maximum dimension of 2048 (2-3mb) because they were taken for practice and yet I actually have to remove down to maybe a dozen or so when trying to project a texture of any resolution (even 1x1 pixel).

Obviously, this is significantly under performing to the extent that it makes the program essentially useless for most purposes. I've managed to get part way through a 59 photo set, the alignment itself being able to calculate at High, but I've been having consistent problems with tests as low as 10 photos.

I'm hoping the problem is that I'm using that 32bit version (which cuts my available RAM down a ton), so that's what I'd like to fix first. If I can get a decent workflow going, I'm considering upgrading my RAM and looking into setting up some sort of lighting rig. Those can wait, though.

Computer Specs:
  • OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
  • Processor: i7-4930K CPU @ 3.40GHz
  • RAM: 16.0 GB
  • 64-bit OS
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN

I can suggest to re-download the package for Windows 64-bit:
http://download.agisoft.com/photoscan-pro_1_2_6_x64.msi

May sure that neither antivirus nor firewall are corrupting the downloaded installer.
