Question about my current set up and poor performance
« on: February 02, 2017, 02:19:51 AM »
Hello, first time poster here with a question about my set up.  I bought a Lenovo D30 with dual Xeon E5-2670 CPUs, 128gb ram, and originally a Nvidia Quadro 6000.  I had trouble with the Quadro as stated in many of the topics on this forum, so I bought a GTX Titan Black as I am not able to perform SLI with this system and I don't have the money for a Titan Z yet.  Anyways, I have all of this capacity and hardly any of it seems to be utilized.  I attached a photo for reference.  Can anyone who is better with computers please explain this to me?   My drivers are "up to date" if that makes any difference.

A picture doesn't portray how slow this really is.... it will say a few minutes and might take 40.

Hello FlyRight-3D,

You do not need to use SLI connection, it may even affect the performance of the GPU-supported tasks.
In the version 1.2 GPU is can be utilized only for the depth maps calculation, while in the version 1.3 also image matching step would be supported.
