Hello,

Is it possible to import into photoscan some points from a GIS software as shapefile and then draw in 3D in photoscan itself?

Hello andreasq,

PhotoScan Professional supports shape files import and export. You cal also create point, polyline and polygon shapes both in Model and Ortho view modes, version 1.3 also allows to draw shapes on photos and adjust their vertices as markers, if the corresponding option is turned on.

Alternatively, use CloudCompare (free/open source). The 'TRACE POLYLINE' function will allow you to pick points on a mesh or point cloud in order to create a polyline. The polyline can then be exported as dxf or shp file.
