Blurry and Pixelated Images in Photoscan
« on: February 23, 2017, 09:16:36 PM »
Hello all,

My name is Peter and I am new to this. I've been making virtual models of human mandibles on Agisoft Photoscan. Me and my colleagues are trying to perfect our models and increase the quality and resolution. We changed the image quality on our camera to Raw, which made the file type on the computer a NEF, as opposed to a jpeg. when I uploaded the pictures onto photoscan, they became extremely blurry and pixelated. The pictures on the camera and on the computer look great, they just look terrible in Photoscan. What is the deal with this? This happened before, but I don't quite remember what the issue was. Could it have anything to do with the size of the files? Please help!! I will try to send a picture of the issue. Thanks!

Hello Peter,

PhotoScan doens't support NEF format at the moment. So the image that you see is just a preview. You need to convert the image to one of the supported formats, like TIFF or EXR, for example.
