Camera Alignment
« on: March 23, 2017, 05:03:41 AM »
I place a short section of a tree with rough bark on a turntable.  I take a photo every 20 degrees at three vertical levels. Total of 18 x 3 or 54 images.

All images have a quality over 6.

When I run align Photos it places all camera on one side.  The sparse point cloud is scattered though it correctly produces some of the surfaces.

I am using a D90 camera on a tripod triggered on a timer and a 55 mm lens.

Could anyone guess what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks

Hello digifabb,

You need to apply masks to the static background areas on the photos when using turntable approach.
