Hi,
I have a two-part question.
I'm fairly new to Agisoft, and photogrammetry in general. Having a great time so far and producing some amazing results from around the world for VR.
Ive had to shoot a lot of low light situations so far. Ive used a A6300 shooting RAW + JPEG mode using a very low iso, tripod with 1+ second shutter and a mid-deep stop. Had successful results so far.
One tip that I read - and feel free to contradict - is that by shooting RAW and then pulling up shadows and pulling down highlights and lowering contrast uniformly across all photos in lightroom (to a 100% jpeg export), will give a better model as there are more details in the photos, especially shadow areas in high contrast environments. Does this sound like a sensible approach? The models seem good so far, but I haven't had time to do a proper A/B comparison.
The second part of my question is, when doing the above, I end up with a very flat texture due to the low contrast photos. Is there a way to use the other set of identical photos (the uncorrected jpegs) as the texture? If so, how do I do this, and can it be done without having to realign all the photos?
Thanks for the advice, loving the software so far!
