Hello!
It would be very nice if PhotoScan could handle objects with subdivision (and a displacement-map on it):
1. Generate a Hi-Poly-Mesh inside PhotoScan
2. Retopologize that and create an UV with a software of your choice and reproject the details out to a displacement-map. (If PhotoScan could produce displacement-maps by itself out of one Hi-Poly-Mesh and one Low-Poly-Mesh it would be even better!)
3. Import that mesh into PhotoScan
4. Build texture on the displaced Retopo
That would speed up the overall-workflow, the texture-quality will increase, the output-datavolume will decrease and it would be helpful for PsPro-users (for animation). Maybe it?s even a good way for generating larger arealmaps (I think it?s equal to DEM-maps).
Kind regards
