Error after update version (Photoscan 1.3.1)
« on: April 06, 2017, 10:57:31 AM »
Hello I'm Jacopo.
I activated Photoscan pro as a student more than 2 years ago.

I've already updated Photoscan with 1.3.1 and after opening Photoscan it asks me to put again my license code (never happened before). But after do it, a message appears: "Can't write license file. Please make sure that you have write access to /private/var/folders/jw/njjdygq53_j8y21512tsg0h40000gp/T/AppTranslocation/6875E83B-B0E2-4400-8018-9F3B24A449DB/d/PhotoScanPro.app/Contents/MacOS folder.

So what should I do to reactivate my Photoscan? Thank you, awaiting yours

Hello Jacopo,

Isn't there also a message suggesting to turn off the Gatekeeper?

It seems that your Mac OS is moving PhotoScanPro application bundle to some temporary folder. So you need either to disable Gatekeeper, the following terminal command should work, but maybe there are some other ways:
Code: [Select]
sudo spctl --master-disable
Alternatively you can activate PhotoScan from the command line:
Code: [Select]
PhotoScanPro.app/Contents/MacOS/PhotoScanPro --activate 11111-22222-33333-44444-55555Where the last arguments your license key.

Hello 3DFranz,

Strange, it works now. Maybe you need to refresh the page CTRL+F5 to clear the cache?

I'm getting an error when I try to build the dense cloud in 1.3.1 (build 4030):

Error: CL_BUILD_PROGRAM_FAILURE at line 612

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Activation key is already in use

Hi,

I used to have Photoscan on two computers (a Mac and a PC).

I updated only the MAC on 1.3.1 and after the message: "Can't write license file. Please make sure that you have write access to /private/var/folders/jw/njjdygq53_j8y21512tsg0h40000gp/T/AppTranslocation/6875E83B-B0E2-4400-8018-9F3B24A449DB/d/PhotoScanPro.app/Contents/MacOS folder. appears I enabled from the Gatekeeper and everything went good.

Now I've updated on 1.3.2 both (Mac and PC): on the PC the message (activation key is already in use.) appeared and on the MAC again the message for the Gatekeeper. I don't know why both are not working now (I can't enable the gatekeeper on the Mac and I can't use the PC cause he said activation code is in use).

What should I do?

Can I deactivate in the Mac and use the key for the PC?

Please, need urgent help!

thank you

Hello Apo,

You need to use your license key code instead of 11111-22222-33333-444444-55555 in my example.

Also if you have older PhotoScanPro application bundle, you can copy photoscan.lic file from it's contents to the new bundle.

Hello Apo,

Application bundle practically is the program hided under the single icon. So it's PhotoScanPro item that you unpack from the DMG archive.

Providing that you move PhotoScanPro.app from DMG to /Applications/ folder you can run the following command from the terminal using the absolute path:
Code: [Select]
/Applications/PhotoScanPro.app/Contents/MacOS/PhotoScanPro --activate 11111-22222-33333-44444-55555
As for another way, if you browse to PhotoScanPro.app/Contents/MacOS/ contents (providing you have kept the old version app), you can the license file .lic that you can copy to the new version bundle.

Regarding the license transfer, you need to deactivate the license on the first machine in order to use it on another one.
