X Y Z Attitude in space is wrong after Align proccess
« on: April 12, 2017, 03:53:08 PM »
Hello,

I try to Align 3 well-overlapping 50mp photos taken NADIR from a plane. Unfortunately, the Alignment is wrong in the spatial  axis, it seems like Photoscan "thinks" I was taking a photo of a wall and sideways...

What to do?

Thanks

Hello Fkybarless,

Do you input any information about camera/marker positions to the Reference pane?

If not, PhotoScan wouldn't have any idea where's the floor and where are walls, as the coordinate system is not defined.

All 3 photos have a built-in EXIF info regarding Lon Lat and Alt.
I attached a photo of the screen.
Anything else?

Hello Fkybarless,

The reference points shouldn't lay on the same line, otherwise there's a rotational degree of freedom around this line.

So, will Align without reference solve this?

How can it be solved?

Hello Fkybarless,

I think you can fix it by using at least one GCP in addition to the camera coordinates or having valid camera orientation angles loaded to the Reference pane (yaw, pitch, roll).

Or more images should be added that do not follow the same line.
