Please import AGIsoft.xml or use image Exif to initalize camera position and orientation for alignment.  I would like to have the option to fix the orientation and position during the alignment phase...just like the lens distortion coefficients.  I do not know why I cant find this feature request...there are many posts asking for the ability to import orientation into Photoscan in addition to position GPS or static camera rigs...but I can't see Agisoft actually uses orientation in their alignment.

Hello engelbeck,

Providing that you have preise information about interior and exterior orientation for the loaded cameras you can use Import Cameras option in the Tools menu. In this case PhotoScan will only perform image matching and wouldn't refine loaded orientation and calibration information.

Thanks Alexy, I will try that. Am I correct in assuming Photoscan will still not use input orentation for alignment?...they will only be used for comparision with computed orientations for calculation of Reference tab?

Hello engelbeck,

Information from the Reference pane can be used for the pre-selection, also for checked on instances it will be used to refine the alignment results during the Estimating Scene Structure and Optimization stages.
