Hey all, just looking for a gut-check here...
Despite having followed what I've read on the forum (RAW, focus, ISO, DOF, masking, etc.) the cameras are only covering approx 270 degrees of my subject.
I suspect much of my issue is the subject itself, and just wanted to run it by you all. It is a symmetrical toy spaceship, with very little detail frequency and a grainy surface quality. I also used a dulling spray which made it even more diffuse...
I think the symmetry and lack of detail confused PhotoScan. Thus for my sanity, I am moving to a much different object today (cow skull) and will see how my results pan out.
I'm I chickening out here, or were the odds against me from the start?
**Note** the attached photo was not used in the scan, but just a shot to show the rocket in question.
