Build Texture Artifacts
« on: May 27, 2017, 04:00:18 AM »
Hey folks, I'm stumped here.

My dense cloud looks great but when I build texture, I get these lines that emanate out from where there is a hole in the dense cloud. I supported the skull on dowels and edited them out prior to creating my mesh, thus the hole left behind.

These artifacts persist, despite what mesh I use. The one generated by Photoscan, as well as the retopologized and UV'ed low rez. They also persist despite trying just about every combination of options in the build texture dialogue.

Is this something I am am going to have to live with? Worst case, I clean it up in Photoshop, I guess.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What options did you used in build text?

Normally if you Retopo and UVs your model you use these options Generic and Keep UVs.

Also Did you tried to disable some cameras which focusing in the error part just keep 2 or 3.

Hey! I've used just about every combo. The last one was more or less default.

Keep UV
Mosaic
4098

Enable hole filling, checked (tried unchecking as well)

I did disable all the side and top angles. However, I should point out that the potos/cameras of the underside were all rather oblique, as I did not do a straight on of the underside. The dense cloud looks great though. Could the oblique shots of the bottom be causing the poor texture bake, in spite of the nice looking dense cloud?

Thanks for your reply.
