Recommendations for room scan with big shelf in the middle
« on: June 06, 2017, 03:40:43 PM »
Hi,

do you have any recommendation for photoscanning a long room like this with a big, long shelf in the middle?
(360° Ricoh photo)

The first time I tried (my back to the walls, one circle around the room, DSLR with 50 mm focal length), Photoscan produced a scan from the shelf in the middle, because my camera wasn't able to see the walls of the room good enough.
I made the photos vertically to get as much as possible on the images, but this didn't work with the calibration and got some strange results.

Would you be so kind to tell me what I can make better?

Kind regards
Andrea

@mauovernet Do you have a basic floor plan dimensions or a photo of what the room looks like?
