Little Help with OBJ and 3D Studio 2012 - aerial map
« on: October 09, 2012, 08:40:45 PM »
Hi,

I'm new to photoscan and 3D Studio Max, but my question is pretty simple anyway. Its about maps.

First I did everything, from allign to textures, and everything seems ok with a nice 3D of my map.

I exported a model as OBJ, the export parameters are:
Vertex Normals checked (already tested unchecked)
Export Texture checked and TIFF format
Precison 6

At 3D Studio (a fresh install of it) I import the OBJ file, in the viewport everything seems ok, picture below:

This first imagem shows the viewport and the import OBJ menu, look that the invert normals is checked, if I don't check this one the textures goes to the back of the map so I need to check this to get the texture in the right place.

But when I hit the render button for the active viewport (I'm a newbie) I get the image below:

Whats missing? What I have to do?

Thanks
