optimize alignment
« on: July 15, 2014, 06:56:06 PM »
there is an option under BATCH to "optimize alignment" that has 7 options to it

fit f
fit aspect
fit cx, cy
fit skew
fit k1, k2, k3
fit p1,p2
fit k4

there is a yes or no option for each
where can I find out exactly what each of these variables are( what is cx,cy, k1...etc) and what effect will it have on the output file?

Hello emaxwell,

These are camera calibration parameters. The calibration model and parameters are described in the Agisoft Lens manual: http://downloads.agisoft.ru/lens/doc/en/lens.pdf

But optimization not only refines the calibration but also camera positions and orientations, effecting on the sparse cloud as well.

I have had very good results calibrating with agisoft lens (even leaving lens focused to infinity and using blurry calibration grid) then using that fixed calibration model and keeping it fixed during optimization.

I have a body scanner and use raspberry 5mp, of 110 cameras. I can't align 6 of them, What values do I  need to apply for these cameras?
