dense point cloud qualities

If I generate a medium quality dense point cloud but end up needing a high or ultra high quality dpc  is there a way to use the information from the lower quality dpc that's already been generated to save time?

simple answer: no
the first step, before estimating the dense point cloud points, is to create depth maps from image pairs.
The original images are subsampled depending on the selected quality  in order to do so.
Thus you need to reestimate the depth maps using the higher resolution images if you need better dense pcloud quality.
