Cordinates GCP
« on: September 14, 2017, 04:22:59 PM »
Hello People!
Who can help me here?

I have a question.....

Is it normal to have your cordinates of flight in geographic cordinates while your gcp are in UTM 34/N and still do a good job/
I have lost it. I can go through it.
What are the steps that i have to do in order to do a good job? Is there available for 5 minutes to help me online?

Hi Dini1984,

Simply import your geotagged images (which normally use WGS84 = EPSG::4326) and convert them to match the coordinate system of your GCPs, which is UTM34/N (= EPSG::32634).

Workflow:
1. Import geotagged images
2. Convert image coordinates to UTM 34/N. To do so, click on the CONVERT icon in the reference pane (4th icon from left), enter the EPSG number 32634 and select UTM34/N and click OK. Your image coordinates will then be converted.
3. Now import your GCPs (UTM 34/N). Picture and GCP coordinate system should now match.

DONE.

Regards,
SAV

Thank you SAV,

But when i try to Convert my geotagged images, and enter the EPSG 32634, it gives me only the option of 'Local Cordinates'
I think i did it like you said earlier yesterday, but i dont know why is not working anymore...

Do u have any idea?

Hello Dini1984,

Make sure that you have loaded Lat/Lon information for the cameras to the Reference pane and the coordinate system in the Reference pane settings dialog is set to WGS84 (EPSG::4326).

Hello Alexey,
I did it.

Now that I placed the markers and i am trying to import the text file, i am getting the atached warning...
"Points cant make a match "....
What is wrong here?

If i say Yes to the warning, my point from text file from those that i entered are 4-5 m apart.

Hello Dini1984,

The labels for markers in the Reference pane should correspond to the labels in the text file. So "point1" and "point 1" - are different.

Hello Alexey...
Can you tell me please what is the cause of this transformation in orthomosaic?

thanks

Hello Dini1984,

I assume that the orthomosaic generation process was using low-polygonal mesh as a surface and it is very rough and inaccurate.

You can generate DEM using dense cloud as a source and then use DEM as a surface option for the orthomosaic generation.

Hello Alexey.
Atached you can see the rusult of my orthophoto.
Can you please tell me, what are the causes of the white color on buildings and trees?
And if you see image 'building 2' on the edge of the roofs, dont come to good. They look like a little deformated, on all roof buildings.

Thanks

White areas means missing data areas. It seems like the bounding box is tilted.

Can you go to Tools > Reset Region and then rebuild the Orthomosaic with a geographic projection?

The wobbly roof edges are 'True Ortho' artefacts. This is due to improper geometry of the buildings due to an incomplete dataset.
