very Slow to build mesh pass
« on: November 19, 2017, 01:38:20 AM »
Having a weird issue with a very slow mesh build.
Before my PC rebuild it took about 4 minutes
Now after a new PC build to 18 core cpu it is estimating over 1 hour 12 minutes?!?!!

Project 110 cameras 26 mp
453722 points

Using latest agi 1.3.4 windblows
PC
7980XE 18 core overclocked
128GB Ram
1080Ti x 2  not in sli

Any ideas?!1  This is really whack ?

Hello glenn,

Which settings are used for the mesh generation process?

In case you are building it from the dense point cloud, please specify the number of point in the Dense cloud and the quality setting used for the dense cloud generation.

Just a shot in the dark, but do you use the same settings for the windows swap as before the rebuild?
Had the impression in the past that windows starts to swap RAM with a big swap file even if there is plenty of RAM left.
