Very slow dense cloud processing

Dear forum
We are presently having some problems with dense cloud generation in Photoscan.
I have made several maps from 2500-2800 images (20mp from 100m) creating a high quality dense cloud, spending maybe 14-20 hours on processing.
This is with the following setup:
- i7 6800K 6-core running at stock freq (3.4ghz).
- 128 GB ddr4 ram
- 1x GTX1070 8GB GPU (running at stock freq).

Now when running a dense cloud generation on medium of a smaller dataset (1400 images/100m), it takes 40-50 hours.
Is it possible that the program can be corrupted and need a reinstall?
