Workflow for better textures on 3d models

I am creating 3d models from hundreds of photos taken from different angels and distances. My main problem with this 3d models is that they have texture with difference in sharpness. Same places are sharper same are blurred. I would like to have bigger control over texture generation. I am using standard generation of texture (generic mosaic) because it gives the best quality. I am usually manually selecting photos for texture generating but it's very time consuming. I have to select photos, generate the texture check is it ok usually it's not ok so again select photos, generate the texture......etc.. Do you have any faster workflow for generating crisper texture or for changing photos from which the texture is generated in exact places of 3d models???

that would be very helpfull
it works great on the ortho images with new polygons and i use it ALL the time there
so texture same fuction would be nice to have
