texture problem: white bands on merged chunk
« on: February 05, 2018, 07:53:03 PM »
Hi all.

Version 1.4.0 pro

I'm doing a model of a shell and I have some problems with the texture. I've made two sets of photo, one for the upper part and on for the lower part of the shell and focus stacked all the positions on the turntable.

I've set one chunk for each pose on the turntable. Everything is fine for separate chunks but in the merged chunk (but the problem arises also if I work all the photo in the same chunk) the resulting texture presents two bands in corrispondence of the masked margin of the pictures. Any hint about that?

Pictures to better explain are attached

Thank you

Hello luffatt,

Are you building the texture in the merged chunk?

Hello luffatt,

Then maybe you need to run the Calibrate Colors function from the Tools Menu before re-building the texture, since the images from the "top" and "bottom" sets may have different brightness for the same area (especially for those that are close to the mount).

I'll give a try but i shooted in manual mode with the same lighting and masked quite alll the dark areas around the mount
