Exif transfer tool with image sequence replacement
« on: December 02, 2012, 09:35:03 PM »
I've made solves better by degraining and color correcting the pictures that are imported to Photoscan.  Whenever I render the photos in anything but photoshop the exif data obviously doesn't transfer.  I then have to manually replace the rgb layer in the original photos in photoshop which can take quite a bit of time.  Would it be possible for you to have an exif lock or an import/export exif system that we can use for same-named file sequences?

Pleeeeeeaaassseee????!!????

Hello Graham,

You can save initial camera calibration values when the images are loaded and then import them back to the project with modified images.

This method doesn't seem to transfer the exif data.  I'm assuming not having the lens etc would mess up the alignment...

Is there any other solution or am I doing it wrong?

Thank you,
Graham

Hello Graham,

In the proposed method you need to export/import camera calibrations for every group of cameras with the different focal lengths. In case you have used the same lens parameters during the shoting you need to export only one initial calibration and import it for all the cameras (at first select all in the Camera calibration dialog and then press Import).

Sweet!  Then I did it right.  I'm calculating it now so I'll compare the results with the calculation I did previously with the normal images.

You rock!

It not only solved more cameras but the geometry looks way better.  Thank you so much.  Your program is awesome!
