Problems with exporting points into ArcGIS
« on: April 30, 2018, 12:34:49 PM »
Hello,

I calculated a Densecloud of a quarry and included some points and polylines directlly in the pointcloud by hand afterwards. I wanted to use these points and breaklines to create a topo in ArcGIS. However, if I export the points to ARCGIS they do not have an elevation!! To create a topo I need the elevation of the points.

Is there any possibility to get the elevation of the points?

Hello DrohneTaberg2018,

If you have created shapes in the Ortho view, you should also apply Update Altitudes function to them, in order to calculate Z coordinate for each vertex of these shapes.

Hi,

no I created shapes in the dense point cloud view! But when I try to export them as .dxf the heights are complety incorrect. It should be around 500 - 550m but instead it is 1260-1290 or so...

Other suggestions? Or is it only possible to get the real heights in DEM/Ortho mode?

That would be bad because there I have a lot of vegetation...

Hello DrohneTaberg2018,

Please provide the report file from the project and specify the export options used for the shapes.

Also do you see correct elevation values when using Measure option for the shapes in the PhotoScan window (in Model view)?
