Network processing 99% Too long
« on: April 20, 2018, 05:51:11 AM »
Hello

I use 2000 photos unmanned aerial vehicle (uav) to compare the efficiency of network processing and single processing.

I find an interesting situation where network processing is very fast in the computation process, but the progress to 99%, the system will go through a long wait. It took more than ten hours to complete.

Single machine processing, only 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Another test run on a single machine. Servers and nodes are also very slow on the same computer.

So, I want to know what the last 99% is doing?

Hello ruyi7952,

On which processing operation you are observing such issues? What is the network connection speed between nodes and data storage location?

Hi,
I've got the same issue. Server work blocked at 99% after less than 40 min of the "match photos" process for less than 300 photos. All is good on the server monitor, except that my three nodes are in "ready" status. The network connection speed is 10 Go (between nodes and data location).

Hello aabadia,

Which capability options are set for the available nodes?

It still hasn't been solved. Distributed alignment is too painful.

I have come across two software that use nodes to adjust independently and then merge to achieve distributed alignment. Like PhotoMesh.

It is hoped that the future version can be improved. This will be a very competitive feature.
