How to stop padding around mesh
« on: May 11, 2018, 11:36:02 PM »
Whenever I define an edge by deleting excess points in the dense point cloud, and then generate the mesh from this, it automatically adds padding to the edge wherever deleted points were. Is there any way to stop this?
I've attached two photos showing an example of a dense point cloud and the resulting mesh.

Hello emcderm,

Which meshing options you are using?

If you are using new meshing method, then you can use strict volumetric masks option, but it would require to mask the upper border on at least one image.
Other workarounds assume setting the bounding box in such manner that it would crop the reconstruction area; or just disable interpolation in Build Mesh dialog if you are using old meshing option.
