Dense point cloud high vs medium
« on: May 26, 2018, 08:10:04 AM »
I have a bunch of sites to process, we really only care about the DEM and ortho end result, will building the dense point cloud at "high" setting produce a better DEM? Vs running the dense cloud at medium setting?

I have the computer power to process the data at High but time is also a factor.

Hi z-air,

Yes, if you run the dense point cloud at higher quality settings, then you can compute a higher resolution DEM from it.

Note that i you are only interested in the DEM and orthophoto, then there is no need to compute a mesh and texture (saves time).

All the best.
