"Not enough reference data" error
« on: May 30, 2018, 06:47:09 PM »
Hi Cmmunity!

I am trying to georeference a model, using six GCPs. All GCPs have been placed manually, and I've done this for all photos. Each marker has at least 9 projections.

When I enter the coordinates for each point, select the projection and hit "Update", I get the error.

The points are spaced evenly throughout the area to be referenced.

I have 33 of 33 cameras aligned and the alignment gave 2619 tiepoints.

As far as I understand it, 6 points are more than enough to reference a model, and I can't recall encountering this error before.

Can anyone help?

Best regards,
Lars

Hello Lars,

Please check the following:
- at least three markers are checked on in the Reference pane,
- at least three of the checked on markers have at least two projections on the aligned cameras,
- at least three of the checked on markers that are defined in 3D have source coordinate values in the Reference pane.

Maybe the first point is causing the problem, as the latter two seems to be fine according to your description.

Oh dear, this is *really* embarrasing.... All markers were unchecked...

Thanks for taking the time to answer this overly stupid question  :)
