axis of Z change
« on: June 06, 2018, 02:37:15 PM »
Hi,

I took some photos with a drone and when I put my photo on the software Agisoft the axis Z is upwards. When I launch the align process, this axis change (to the right, left or downwards). So, I can't have a correct DEM..

Do you know the solution of my problem ?

Thank you

Hello ptitgibus,

I can suggest checking the coordinate system selection in the Reference pane setting dialog and the proper order of X and Y columns  while loading the coordinate information.

Hello ptitgibus,

Can you please provide the report file generated from the project and the screenshot of the source values from the Reference pane?

This is the report of Elevation. Do you need an other report ?

Your coordinates are decimal degrees which will not work with WGS84. You'll need an UTM zone for your specific project location.

Hello ptitgibus,

I have meant PDF file that can be exported via File Menu -> Export -> Generate Report command.

But are you sure about the elevation values of the camera positions? Maybe you should use some fixed value to the altitudes to correct the camera locations height: https://github.com/agisoft-llc/photoscan-scripts/blob/master/src/add_altitude_to_reference.py

Hi,

I try the script but it doesn't work because I'm using an older version

You can see attached the report.

I used GCPs. I have two file format : DNG and JPG. The first one has an axis of Z wrong and the other it's ok BUT when I put my GCPs and launch the dense cloud process, the axis of Z goes wrong too (as you can see on the report)

Hello ptitgibus,

In the latter project you are using both coordinates of the camera locations and GCPs. However, it looks like the coordinate values for cameras are in degrees (WGS84) system, whereas markers' coordinates are in UTM projection. You should  uncheck the camera locations in the Reference pane if they do not correspond to the coordinate system set for the chunk.

Hi,

Tanks to all ! I have a right DEM with a good orientation.
It was due to the use of two differents coordinates systems (WGS84 for the camera and UTM33 for the GCPs) like you told me.
As I have uncked the coordinates of the camera, consequently Agisoft use only the GCPs to orientate the project and align photos, am I right ?
Then, I never used the orientation and the coordinates of the camera, do you think they are necessary ?
